If the Pens hire this mutant lipsmacking prognosticator we are all doomed worse than the titanic. Who in their right mind would hire him? He is a legend in his own mind.

Though I agree I want no parts of Pierre I can't hold his arrogance from 20 years ago against him. We all thought we were the poop in our 20's. like you said he may prove everyone wrong I'm just not willing to take that gamble with our team.

His arrogance is alive and well in his broadcasting work

He's a TV personality they're supposed to be flamboyant. I hate him as much as the next guy but I don't hold that against him

Although he does come off as arrogant, his multiple connections in the hockey world could prove useful. I'm not sure if its in the GM category though. He would probably make a great assistant GM.

He said in an interview on XM shortly after She to was fired that he would never take the Penguins GM job. Apparently he and Shero are best friends that goes back 20+ years and both were in each other's wedding parties.

In the interview he admitted he and Mario were close but would never want the job. He aluded to the fact that he was not a fan of Penguins' ownership decisions and that by taking the job he would be betraying his friend.

Well written sir........ I'll go out on a limb and say the only person happier if Pierre got any GM job would be Eddy Olczyk. The only person I ever heard Eddie O show an outright dislike for, and I listen to Eddie on every Hawk broadcast.

I could actually see him doing a good job. His ego could be a good thing, he doesn't want to be viewed as a failure. Your kidding yourself if you think he doesn't have nearly every NHL available player's possession stats memorized simply for chit chat at cocktail parties. I also don't see him putting this team in a position where Sidney Crosby has to play with Brian Gibbons. The fact that Mario trusts him enough to consider him says a lot about the guy, beyond his obnoxious tv personality.

There is no letang vs nisk. People who believe there is are nuts. 1 thing and only 1 thing nisk does better is get shots thru on the pp that is it.

It pains me to watch Patrick Kane in elimination games. Crosby needs to rise to that level in those moments.

If they hire Pierre I'm going to need a new team for the next 3 years until he is fired.

A reasonable Penguin to do list. But first we need a GM, right?

Selling off Letang at his lowest value doesn't seem reasonable to me.

I think it would be great entertainment for the rest of us, much like Torts was for all of you last year.
